BMXNZ COMMISSIARES
The following link is to the online test process to start the Commissaire journey. Please follow all instructions to complete the testing & all the required information. A BMXNZ Official will contact you once the process is complete.
To move up Commissaire levels, a Commissaire must be able to show a clear understanding of the rules and regulation of the sport, then as a minimum be Chief Commissaire at the following events;
Club to Local
10 category 10 events or 5 category 9 events, plus have been a Trainee Commissaire at least 3 of the following Major Events, Nationals, Norths or Souths.

Local to Regional
4 NQMs and an additional 6 category 9 or 10 events, plus have been a Trainee Commissaire at least 4 Major events, Nationals, Norths or Souths.
NQMs are to be overseen by a Regional Commissaire.
4 NQMs and an additional 6 category 9 or 10 events, plus have been a Trainee Commissaire at least 4 Major events, Nationals, Norths or Souths.

Regional to National
4 NQMs and 3 National Series rounds (At least one away from home region), plus have been a Senior Commissaire at, at least 9 Nationals, Norths or Souths.
National Series rounds are to be overseen by a member of the NOP or the NOD.

In addition, the commissaire must have been a Race Director and Chief Commissaire at a BMXNZ Titles Major Meeting
Regional Commissaire progression to be signed off by a member of the NOP and the NOD

BMXNZ ACCREDITED STARTER OFFICIALS
BMXNZ Gate Starter Training & Certification Process
BMXNZ is starting the process to accredit Event Starter for events from the Regional Champs & above. To instigate this we want to register all previous Starters that have worked at any BMXNZ Regional Champs, Norths, South or Nationals in the 2017/2018 season.

Also on this link will be an initial test process to understand your level of knowledge of the starting process & the regulations needs during an event. Once this is all complete & successful you will be contacted by a BMXNZ Official to confirm if accreditation will be approved.
BMXNZ ACCREDITED STAGER OFFICIALS
BMXNZ Staging Training & Certification Process
BMXNZ is starting the process to accredit Event Stagers for events from the Regional Champs & above. To instigate this we want to register all previous STaging Volunteers that have worked at any BMXNZ Regional Champs, Norths, South or Nationals in the previous two seasons.

This link will be an initial test process to understand your level of knowledge of the staging process & the regulations needs during an event. Once this is all complete & successful you will be contacted by a BMXNZ Official to confirm if accreditation will be approved.
OFFICIALS LICENCING REQUIREMENTS
BMXNZ official licences require voluntary online renew each year, that may include a small rule book quiz, plus a minimum involvement officiating in the sport. The minimum requirement as an official is, officiating at three race meetings per year, confirmed by your Regional Commissaire or Major Event Head of Department.
