Cycling New Zealand appoints interim High Performance Director

Amy Taylor has been appointed interim High Performance Director at Cycling New Zealand.

She is currently the High Performance Para cycling transition manager, as well as High Performance coach development manager.

Amy has been at Cycling New Zealand for seven years in a variety of roles. Before that she was Education and Development manager at BikeNZ, CNZ’s predecessor organisation.

“We’re delighted that Amy has accepted this role,” says Cycling New Zealand’s Chief Operating Officer Monica Robbers.

“She has more than 20 years’ experience in sport and was the brains behind the 2019 HP strategic plan and the 2020 Para cycling integration plan.

“She is a recognised leader in the coach development space and has worked closely with CNZ coaches and staff in her time here.

“Those attributes are what we’re looking for as we go forward, which is about partnering with athletes, and ensuring their wellbeing goes hand in hand with performance.

A graduate of Auckland University, where she obtained a first class Masters in Science, Amy has also worked for British Cycling and the University of Auckland.
