Cycling New Zealand runs development programmes at stages throughout the year – details will be uploaded to this page as and when programmes open.  Invitations to apply for development programmes are promoted on our social media pages, and extended via email to our clubs and members database.

Cycling New Zealand Athlete Development Opportunities
 
The following list provides an overview of the type of development opportunities Cycling New Zealand delivers / has teams participating in each year.  The schedule includes dates and deadlines for the current year where relevant, and, while specific dates will vary year to year, the overall schedule will likely remain the same. 
 
Oceania Road Championships
The Oceania Cycling Confederation (OCC) is pleased to announce the 2018 Oceania Road Cycling Championships will be held in Tasmania, Australia, March 23-25, 2018.
 
12 titles will be awarded over three days of competition in Time Trial and Road Race events across elite, under 23 and under 19 categories for men and women. The Championships attract the best riders from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tahiti, New Caledonia and Guam and will be the final UCI event in Oceania ahead of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

The cost has been updated to around $3800 per rider due to a significant change in Insurances. Please note that due to this change we have extended our application closed date our to Friday 3rd March.
