UCI Gran Fondo World Series

The  World Masters Road Championship or UCI World Cycling Tour are now known as the UCI Gran Fondo World Series.  Full information and race format are available here: http://www.uciworldcyclingtour.com/ or http://www.ucigranfondoworldseries.com/
How to qualify:
  • Riders who take part in one of the qualifier events held worldwide and who finish in the first 25% of their age group qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships
  • The first 3 in each age category will also qualify directly to the World Championships, independent of the number of starters in that age group.
  • Riders who participate in 3 qualifier events during the season will also qualify.
For countries that do not have a Qualifying event (for 2019 this includes New Zealand).  Qualifying slots are offered through the National Championships.  Masters Riders (Masters 1 through to 10) who win their age group in the Road Race and/or the Time Trial at this event will qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships in both disciplines (current world champions are granted an automatic slot so if they win their age group their slot will be rolled down to the second placed rider).  There are an additional 10 wildcard entries available at the discretion of Cycling New Zealand.  Additional entry fees and criteria apply for this international event.  The 2019 event will be in Poznan, Poland.
