Cycling New Zealand are excited to partner with NZBRO (New Zealanders Bike Racing Online) to host the Esport National Qualification Event in August 2026.
The race will take place on the 28th of August at 7pm NZST. Riders intending to attend the semi-final will still need to apply through Cycling New Zealand for this through the link here.
The Esport National Qualification Event is used for selection to the 2026 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships Semi-final (2 Oct 2026). From that, MyWhoosh will select the WCH/finals Team (12 Dec 2026).

2026 UCI National Qualification System - Elite - now available here (updated 23.07.26).
Note: CNZ has sought more clarification from the UCI about this - the Final will be in either North America or Europe, not Abu Dhabi.
Licencing
If you qualify in this event, you will need to purchase a 2026 UCI licence.
Event Rules
Full dual recording and normal SRC weight and calibration approvals will be used for this event.
