15.06.26 - Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) released to CNZ their governing documents for the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Paralympic Games:

Cycling New Zealand's Nomination Criteria, Long List process and Nomination Panel appointment for the Games is under development, but the final version must be submitted to PNZ by 21 August 2026.

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the world's governing body for the sport of cycling recognised by the International Olympic Committee. The UCI was founded in Paris in 1900, and its headquarters are now located at the UCI’s World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland. The UCI establishes the rules of cycling for all codes worldwide. All regulations governing UCI activities and competitions, in particular the different regulations for each discipline, the anti-doping regulations and the disciplinary regulations can be found on the UCI website.

The New Zealand Olympic Committee (NZOC) have published their LA28 Olympic Games selection documents:

The CNZ Nomination Criteria, Long List Process and Nomination Panel appointment are under development.

On the 27 March 2026, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced athlete's seeking to compete in female categories at the LA28 Olympic Games must undergo a one-off SRY genetic test to prove they are biologically female. The NZOC will release some guidance for National Federations around this requirement after the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games have concluded.
