National Track Series (NTS) – Rounds 1 & 2
Your chance to race, learn, and grow.
We’re excited to announce the 2026 dates for the National Track Series (NTS) — a development-focused opportunity for U17 to U23 and para classified riders to build experience, develop tactical skills, and grow in confidence on the track.
Event Dates
Round 1 – Cambridge, 11–12 July 2026
Round 2 – Invercargill, 9–10 October 2026
What is NTS?
The National Track Series is designed by Cycling New Zealand to support developing riders in a competitive yet supportive environment. It’s not just about results — it’s about learning, trying new things, and taking the next step in your cycling journey.
What to Expect
A mix of racing and workshops focused on skill-building and race craft
Opportunities to try new tactics in a safe, coach-supported setting
Coaching clinics and sessions on bunch skills, rules, physiology, and more
A platform for riders to test themselves and learn from others
Whether you're new to track or looking to take your racing to the next level, NTS gives you the space to experiment, build confidence, and grow your cycling IQ.
Living the Values Awards
Each round, we’ll recognise riders who show positive attitudes, effort, curiosity, and sportsmanship — not just podium results. Thanks to our event sponsors, prize packs include gear from Castelli, Velotoze, and Styrkr Energy Foods.
We have the PRV living the values award up for grabs at each series. At the end of NTS 1 and 2, we also have the presentation of the 'Graeme Hunn living the values award' trophy.
Who Can Enter?
Open to U17 to U23 riders (male and female) — please check entry criteria for any eligibility notes.
Ready to Step Up?
NTS is your chance to ride hard, think smart, and grow as a cyclist — no matter where you’re starting from.

All entries, once received, will be approved by CNZ prior to the event to ensure a minimum skill/experience/performance standard is met.
If you have any questions on the minimum standard required, please contact [email protected]
ENTRY FEES
For this series, we have obtained quotes for all expected expenses, and the current budget shows a forecast loss of $17,000. Due to this significant shortfall, we have had to increase entry fees to help offset the deficit. We are also seeking funding support to enable the event to reach a breakeven position.
NTS Single Round Entry - $190
NTS Two Rounds Discounted Entry - $230
Entries for both rounds will open in April 2026.
Each entry includes:
Two days of racing
Access to coaching and workshops
Logistical support if needed (email us to arrange)
WITHDRAWALS & REFUNDS
Refunds may be available before entries close for each round.
If accepted, a $25 admin fee will be deducted from the refund.
Withdrawals after entries have closed are not eligible for a refund.
