Para Cycling Open Day

Cycling Southland and Cycling New Zealand invite individuals with a physical or visual impairment to attend a Para Cycling Open Day at the Cycling Southland Velodrome.
This session is designed for those who would like to try Para track cycling in a safe and supportive environment, without committing to a multi-week programme.
Bikes and equipment will be provided on the day.
Who Should Attend?
Individuals with an eligible physical or visual impairment
Those new to Para cycling
Athletes with a sporting or fitness background
Anyone interested in exploring what Para track cycling involves
No previous track or tandem experience is required.
What to Expect
Introduction to Para track cycling
Supervised riding on the velodrome
Opportunity to try tandem cycling (for athletes with a visual impairment)
Guidance from experienced coaches
Information about Para cycling opportunities and pathways
The session is practical, welcoming, and focused on helping participants experience the sport in a controlled and supportive setting.
