Tandem Talent ID Day

Cycling New Zealand will host a Tandem Talent Identification Day designed primarily to introduce and identify potential stokers and pilots.
These days are intended to be supportive, informative, and practical, and do not require prior cycling or tandem experience.
What to Expect
An introduction to tandem cycling and Para Cycling pathways in New Zealand
The opportunity to trial cycling on static bikes
Supervised tandem riding sessions with experienced pilots
Skill development activities supported by Cycling New Zealand coaches
Conversations around long-term opportunities, including development camps and pathways
Talent ID days are not selection trials. They are designed to help individuals understand the sport, build confidence, and allow coaches to observe key attributes such as physical potential, communication, and coachability.
