Cycling New Zealand's strategic direction and governance is set by its Board of Directors who, together, bring a wide base of experience from public and private business, sporting and social and enterprise, and diverse interests across many aspects of cycling.

Martin Snedden CNZM (Chair)
Martin was co-opted onto the CNZ Board and became its chair in June 2024. He currently also chairs two other NFP boards and is a former board chair of NZ Cricket. Martin represented the NZ cricket team 1980-1990 and has held a number of CEO roles including NZ Cricket, Rugby World Cup 2011, and Tourism Industry Association NZ. He also currently chairs a Sport NZ-backed governance community involving NSO and RST board chairs. He is married to Annie. They have four adult children.
Simon Cogan
Simon is a barrister sole with over 24 years’ experience. His practice encompasses contract and commercial law, property and construction, administrative law, charities and incorporated societies, privacy, civil and criminal regulatory proceedings, and fraud and financial crime. He is an experienced trial and appellate advocate who has appeared as counsel in the High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court, as well as arbitrations, inquiries, and specialist tribunals.
Robyn Clements
Robyn has over 20 years experience in governance including on a National Sporting Organisation board for 9 years (Basketball NZ) and Chair of the Women’s National Basketball League (NBL) until 2023. She was appointed to the Board of Cycling NZ in May 2021 and retired from the Board of Drug Free Sport NZ at the end of June 2024. Robyn has a personal active interest in recreational cycling, particularly road and mountain biking along with a variety of other sports including basketball and supporting family in endurance racing. Her previous governance board roles included the Primary sector and Not-For-Profits.
Michelle Henderson
Michelle is a full time independent director. She brings broad business understanding to the board room from her time in the Australasian heavy industry sector. In 2019 she was appointed to the board of Meridian Energy and serves on both the Audit & Risk Committee and Safety & Sustainability Committee. She holds various other trustee and board advisor roles in her community. Through executive leadership roles across mining, manufacturing, and electricity sectors, Michelle brings a passion for culture, process innovation, sustainable business outcomes and safety. As a digital native, Michelle brings a thought provoking generational perspective to the boardroom. Michelle is based in Invercargill and enjoys supporting her teenage son who is a keen cyclist. She volunteers at the velodrome with timing events and recording results for the commissaires.
John Baddiley
John is an experienced technology leader with over 30 years local and international experience in the IT industry. John works at the Reserve Bank Te Pûtea Matua as the Director of Digital Solutions/Chief Technology Officer, with responsibility for technology services across the Bank. An avid mountain biker, cyclocross racer and trail builder, John has volunteered in the Wellington MTB community for over 30 years, was the President of the Wellington MTB Club for 8 years, and has been involved in MTB event organisation since 1995. John brings a passion for community involvement, advocacy for cycling in all its forms and strong love of being on two wheels in the Aotearoa outdoors.
Vicki Campbell
Vicki is an accomplished employment lawyer and administrator who has made significant contributions to both employment law and diving in New Zealand through her various roles over the years. After serving as a Member of the Employment Relations Authority for a total of 14 years including three years as the Chief’s Delegate, Vicki began practice as a Barrister. She has a long history with Springboard and Platform Diving as an athlete, coach, judge, and administrator including governance roles at both Regional and National levels. In 2014 she was awarded a life membership of Diving New Zealand to recognise her contribution to the sport. Currently Vicki sits as an Executive Member of the Employment Law Institute of New Zealand and is a member of the Employment and Privacy Committee of the New Zealand Bar Association. Vicki recognises the importance positive experiences and achievement in sport can have for fostering life skills and personal growth. This passion drives her to help people succeed through sport including sponsoring the Melville Rugby Club Men’s Premier team for the past three years as a jersey sponsor.
Heidi Addington
Heidi is an experienced Chartered Accountant with a strong background in finance leadership. Passionate about community engagement, she enjoys contributing her skills at a grassroots and governance level to local community organisations while also pursuing her love for outdoor activities. Based in Christchurch with her husband and three energetic young boys, Heidi spends her free time training for adventure races or planning bikepacking trips.
Logan Townsend
Logan has extensive experience in the cycling community across the Auckland region, having contributed as a school cycling coach, event organiser, race director, and Auckland team manager. His involvement spans various roles, including being a representative on the Auckland Centre and collaborating with schools cycling organisations and events nationwide. With a deep commitment to fostering the development of young cyclists, Logan is passionate about ensuring their interests are effectively represented at a national level. He aims to create opportunities that not only support the competitive journeys of emerging cyclists but also promote lifelong cycling. His dedication lies in cultivating a thriving cycling culture that empowers youth to grow, compete, and enjoy the sport for years to come.
