Entry Eligibility and Criteria
ENTRY ELIGIBILITY AND CRITERIA
UCI Categories - Open to NZL riders only (as per your nationality with UCI).
All riders are encouraged to be a member of a MTBNZ/CNZ Affiliated MTB Club
Minimum age is 17
LICENCING
All riders in UCI categories must hold a 2026 Cycling New Zealand Annual Licence - this licence comes with a UCI ID required to obtain UCI points. Please note, a day licence is not available for this elite category for this event.

All riders in the National Championships Non-UCI categories (except under 10s) must hold a 2026 Cycling New Zealand Annual Licence OR pay the additional $10 fee for the Cycling New Zealand One-Day Licence.

UCI Categories
Elite - Riders aged 17 or over (as at 31 December 2026)
National Championship medals will be awarded to the first rider in each category.
NON - UCI Categories
Under 10
10-12 years
13-14 years
15-16 years
17 + years Men and Women (Championship class)
30+ years
50+ years
Event Rules
Racing will be conducted under the Mountain Bike New Zealand Technical Regulations and UCI Regulations.
